Ignoring What Others Think of You

When you could care less about what others think of you, you will fall on either side of the spectrum…”the most hated” or “lame. Who cares what others think, right? Here are benefits that come with releasing that care for how others feel about you…see below.

Contentedness

As you focus more on your feelings about yourself while weeding out what others feel about you, you become more content with yourself. You start to develop the mindset of a confident person. It won’t matter what negative things a person has to say about you. You’ll know what’s true and what’s not but also stand by it.

Stronger

You will tend to deal with negative/toxic people better. No one will be able to disrupt your peace. You will become more firm with closing unhealthy people out of your life. It will start to become easier to cut those who mean you trouble. This goes for friendships and relationships.

More Productive

Since you will be in more focus of yourself, more things will start to get done. Let’s say you have projects that you’re working on. There will not be anything that can distract you from completing them. More goals will be met but also in a timely manner.

Better Friendships/Relationships

This mindset can also have a positive effect on your currently friendships and relationships. You will be able to put more of your time into people who value you rather than people who do not. Your friends and possible significant other will get most of your attention. Outside sources will pose no threat on the thoughts of your current friendships or relationships.

Bottom Line

It’s okay to value how your significant other and family feel about you. As for anyone else…their lack of approval of you shouldn’t cause you to lose any sleep.
